The power of belonging

Parents who choose Jewish education for their children experience something that's as important -- and possibly more so -- than quality education: a sense of belonging.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote, "In our generation, the struggle of whether we connect more, whether we achieve our biggest opportunities, comes down to this -- your ability to build communities and create a world where every single person has a sense of purpose."

The human desire to belong to a community is powerful and fundamental – whether you’re young or old, rich or poor, inside or out. When people feel an authentic sense of belonging, amazing things happen. They take care of each other. They feel happier, more fulfilled and more connected.

The beautiful thing about Jews is that we already have a community that's waiting for you with open arms. We belong to a global Jewish family that's thousands of years old. You can become connected through a Jewish preschool, a mother's group, or a summer camp. Parents just need to reach out and find the Jewish opportunities where they feel most connected.
