This original art project first appeared in The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle.

Jacqueline Cabessa Redlich lived in Paris, France, surrounded by artists and fashion designers. She quickly learned to integrate both art and fashion into her daily sketches and drawings. She moved to the United States after college and settled in Milwaukee. She found success in the retail industry opening two women’s apparel boutiques featuring Parisian fashion.

She later focused her energies on teaching art to elementary and middle school students while engaging in various projects at the newest museum in Milwaukee, The Chudnow Museum of Yesteryear. She had to interrupt her professional career for a few years. During this period, she devoted a great deal of time to painting endearing and inspiring subjects.

She recently resumed her teaching career and started exhibiting her art at various local venues. Her artwork is greatly influenced by her travels and life experiences. Her perceptions are expressed in her work through vibrant colors, elegant figures, soft movements and illusionary perspectives. Art is an important part of her life that translates into this main theme “Art is a Celebration of Life.”
